Summer Sixteen – nail trend

We at MeeBox HQ are a very creative bunch our themes are inspired by all sorts of creative goodies. We are the kind of gals that sit patiently staring at google waiting for Pantone to release their colour of the year! This years double whammy of colours have inspired the fashion and beauty world immensely.  For the first time, Pantone opts for two colours to co-carry the ‘Colour of the Year” title.

With the watercolour manicure being this summer’s coolest nail trend we thought what two colours are better to blend with? All you need  are your colours and a sponge and voila! After cleaning and filing your nails, start by polishing on two coats of your rose quartz colour then allow it to dry completely. Once  dried, use the corner of a makeup sponge to dab the serenity colour. for an extra-blurry effect try dragging the clear polish across each nail. Apply topcoat while the polish is still wet.

This looks extra pretty with cherry blossoms on it. Use a stamp and a soft white to cover the nail with delicate flowers or free hand a couple of black branches and add a butterfly decal or jewel (or paint one if you feel brave) to create a beautiful Japanese style accent nail.
